Our partners
We don’t work alone. These are the people whose products, work and support sit behind every job we do. Community is a massive part of local businesses such as ourselves, which is why we make the effort to look after ours.

Paint systems
Resene
We specify Resene systems on every job we do, inside and out. They're a New Zealand company formulating for New Zealand conditions, and that matters more than it sounds. This country sits under some of the harshest UV in the world, and Auckland adds high humidity and coastal salt on top of it. A coating formulated for a milder climate will not last the same length of time here.
Working with Resene also means the products going onto your property are specified rather than guessed at. Their systems are published and documented, and we write them into your quote by product name — the sealer, the primer and the topcoats, surface by surface. That gives you a record of exactly what's on your house if you ever need to match it, touch it up, or hand the information to a buyer.

Pressure washing
Washguard
Some jobs need a level of washing that sits outside a painter's kit. Where a roof or exterior needs specialist pressure washing before we can prepare and coat it, we bring in Washguard rather than making do with what's on the van.
It's the same principle as everything else we do. The surface underneath decides how long the coating lasts, and getting that surface genuinely clean is the first part of it — not just the visible dirt, but the moss spores in the timber and the salt on a coastal elevation that will lift a new coating from underneath if it's left there. Where their work forms part of your job, it's set out as its own line in your quote.

Community
Petone FC
The Painter Guy started in Wellington in 2013, and Petone FC is part of where we came from. Sponsoring a local club isn't a marketing exercise for us — it's one of the few straightforward ways a trade business can put something back into the community that kept it going in the first place.
Grassroots sport runs on people turning up: coaches, parents, volunteers, and the local businesses that chip in for gear, grounds and travel. We're glad to be one of them.

The Painter Guy x Drax Project
The Painter Guy teamed up with the New Zealand band Drax Project to create a mental health campaign raising awareness for men's mental health. It's something we're passionate about, and collaborating with the people at Drax Project to make it happen was a genuinely good experience.
Mental health is a topic that often goes undiscussed in the trades, and that's something we want to change. The first step is raising awareness — making it known that there are people who can help, and building a safer environment for those around us. At The Painter Guy that's something we work towards every day.
