How we work
Every job we take on runs through the same five stages, from your first phone call to the final walkthrough where you sign it off.
You'll hear back from us within 24 hours, meet us on a free site visit, and get a fixed written quote before any work is booked. While we're on site, the job is cleaned down at the end of every day. We don't call it finished until you've walked through it with us and you're happy with the result.
Initial contact
Our process begins as soon as you reach out — by phone, or through the form on this site. Someone from our team will be in contact within 24 hours, and from there we'll set up a time for a site visit that suits you.
Site visit
A site visit lets us see and inspect the work required, and it gives you the chance to put a face to the name. Most importantly it's where we explain our process in detail, how we'll approach your job, and answer anything you want to ask.
Quotation
Following the site visit we send you a formal quote detailing the work required, with full pricing and nothing hidden, along with our terms and payment schedule. You should be able to see exactly what you're paying for.
We can't guarantee ours will be the cheapest quote you get. We can guarantee the work — built to last, not for cheap, quick fixes.
Our work
Now the important stage. Our painting and decorating team works with you to get the outcome you're after, following our in-house protocol so every project is completed to the same standard — from the first interaction to the final coat.
Our team come and go as though they'd never been there, leaving you with a beautiful fresh paint job.
Final walkthrough
The final walkthrough gives you the chance to review the completed project with one of our team. If you spot anything that doesn't meet your expectations, we resolve it promptly.
We don't consider the job finished until you're completely satisfied with the result.

In early 2026 I opened The Painter Guy in Auckland, and we’re growing here the same way: every project follows the same detailed process, with the client at the heart of it — your vision, brought to life with our expertise.
